About Us

What is Single Gourmet DFW?

Single Gourmet DFW, a members-only organization for single professionals in their 30s through 60s, offers several dining and culinary events monthly throughout Dallas - Fort Worth.

Our members get the opportunity to meet other single professionals in a comfortable, safe and upscale social setting.  You will get the royal treatment from executive director Ed Bamberger (profile below) who personally develops menus with chefs (and wine pairing when applicable) to give members something special.

Our members gather for dinner parties at Dallas – Fort Worth’s finest restaurants, learn about fine wines at our wine dinners, and discover new and innovative techniques at our educational and entertaining cooking classes.  Our venue is a great way to make new friends, network and share exceptional culinary experiences.

What to Expect

Upon your arrival, you will be greeted and introduced to other members. Most events begin with a reception where you can meet, mingle and socialize with other members. Afterwards, you will be seated in small groups with others sharing common interests.

Expect multi-course dinners prepared and presented with panache. Our exclusive wine tastings will introduce some vintages you might not have discovered on your own. Cooking classes will educate and entertain you. Other surprises include tours, trips and special events.

With your annual membership fee, you will receive a monthly newsletter and invitations to events not available to the public. Event prices average between $69 and $99 (with a few exclusive events slightly higher).

Who are Our Members

Our members are successful, interesting and educated individuals from many fields, including marketing, finance, high tech, health care, law and engineering. Age range is 30s through 60s.

Meet the Executive Director

Ed Bamberger brings a wealth of experience to Single Gourmet Dallas – Fort Worth. A gourmet cook and wine aficionado, Ed honed his skills at The Culinary Institute of America, the nation’s premier chefs’ school, and at cooking classes in France and Italy. He is a member of the International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP), The American Institute of Wine & Food (AIWF) and Slow Food.

Ed is a published food writer and cookbook editor, served as restaurant critic for America Online and wine consultant for Tom Thumb. His corporate experience includes two decades at IBM as editor of several national publications and managing business shows.

As Executive Director of the Single Gourmet Dallas – Fort Worth, Ed is proud to have brought this national concept to the Metroplex. With his exceptional energy and enthusiasm, Ed provides a fun and unique opportunity for singles to share their passion for food, wine and culinary exploration.
